Mackenzie Johnson

I’m Mackenzie Johnson, a Charleston-based content creator and founder of Dare Creative, my social media agency. At the heart of everything I create is a love for beautiful visuals and storytelling, I love content that makes you feel something, pulls you into a moment, or gives you a little escape from the everyday. My creative style lives somewhere between organic and elevated. I love capturing the candid, imperfect moments that make social content feel personal and real, but I’m equally drawn to dreamy, editorial visuals, thoughtful details, beautiful lighting, movement, and storytelling. My work ranges from social-first UGC, lifestyle and on-camera content filmed on iPhone to more intentionally produced photography and video using professional Sony camera gear. What makes my perspective a little different is that I’ve spent years on both sides of the industry—as a lifestyle creator working directly with brands and as the founder of an agency creating professionally for long-term clients and one-off campaigns across a wide range of industries. That experience has taught me how to create content that feels natural enough to belong on someone’s feed, beautiful enough to make them stop, and intentional enough to truly tell a brand’s story.
