How It Works

Follow one creator's video from the brief to the Monday payout.

  1. Payout terms

Set the Payout Terms on the Brief

Choose a flat fee, a percentage of ad spend, or a fixed fee plus a percentage when you build the campaign. Creators see the terms on the brief before they apply. They can quote a fee inside your range, and the percentage is the same for every creator. In this example the range is $100 to $150 plus 6%, and Maya quotes $125.

  2. Brand or partnership ads

Run It From Your Page or Theirs

Brand account ads run from your page, and the creator doesn't need to connect anything. Partnership ads run from the creator's Instagram with your brand name next to theirs. For those, creators connect Facebook and choose an Instagram account when they apply.

  3. Tracked from Meta

Track Spend From Your Meta Ad Account

Connect your Meta ad account and link each ad to the creator who made it. Vidovo reads the spend every day and calculates each creator's share. Creators see the same numbers you do.

  4. Weekly payouts

    Creators Are Paid Every Monday

Each day of spend settles 7 days later, after Meta finalizes its numbers, and is paid out the following Monday. You're charged for the share at the same time, and creators are paid to their bank account. If you pause an ad, its share stops on that day.

Choose a Payout Model

Each model handles upfront cost and creator pay differently. You can use a different model on each campaign.

Flat fee

One price per video, paid when you accept the proposal.

  • Same cost for every video
  • Simple terms for creators
  • No Meta ad account needed
  • Creator pay doesn't change with ad spend
  • Paid before the video runs

Good for Organic content and fixed budgets.

Percentage of ad spend

A share of what you spend running the video as a Meta ad, paid weekly.

  • No upfront cost
  • Cost goes up with ad spend
  • Creators earn more on ads you scale
  • Creators are paid as the ads run
  • Best when you plan to run the videos

Good for Testing many videos, with cost tied to ad spend.

Fixed fee + percentage

A fee for the video, then the share of ad spend on top.

  • Every video is paid when accepted
  • Creators earn more on ads you scale
  • Appeals to more creators
  • A fee on every video, paid upfront
  • The total grows as an ad scales

Good for Campaigns where you plan to scale the best ads.

You control the budget

You set the fee or the share, and how much to spend on each ad.

Example figures: a $400 flat fee, a $125 fixed fee, a 6% share, $350 spend on the short test and $38,000 on the scaled ad. Shares shown before Vidovo fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

01. Which payout model should I pick?

It depends on the campaign. A flat fee gives you a set cost per video. A percentage of ad spend has no upfront cost, and you pay as the ads spend. A fixed fee plus percentage pays creators for each video, then adds a share while the ad runs. You can use a different model on each campaign.

02. Who sets the fee and the percentage?

You set the percentage, and the fee range if you use one, when you build the campaign. Creators quote a fee inside your range when they apply. They don't bid on the percentage, so every creator on the campaign gets the same share.

03. What counts as ad spend?

Whatever Meta reports as spend on the ads you link to a creator's video, read from your connected ad account. Ads that aren't linked to a creator never count.

04. When do creators get paid?

Any fixed fee is paid when you accept a creator's proposal. Shares of ad spend are paid weekly: each day settles 7 days later, which leaves room for Meta's final numbers, then goes out in the next Monday payout. You're charged for the share in the same weekly run.

05. Can I pay a percentage with no fixed fee?

Yes. Choose percentage of ad spend. There's no upfront fee, and you pay only when the ads spend. Adding a fixed fee can bring in more applicants.

06. Do the ads have to run from the creator's account?

No. Run them from your own page with nothing for the creator to connect, or turn on partnership ads so they show from the creator's Instagram with your brand alongside.

07. What happens when I pause an ad?

The creator's share stops while the ad is paused and starts again when you turn it back on.

08. Do I need a Meta ad account?

Yes. Connect your Meta Business account once and Vidovo reads spend from it. You keep building and running ads in Ads Manager the way you already do.
